For foreign citizens of all countries, when entering Georgia by air or land, from June 15, 2022, all regulations regarding the need to provide documents on vaccinations PCR tests, and voluntary quarantine have been canceled.

Tbilisi Public Transport Usage Guide
If you take an official taxi from the airport (https://fly-taxi.ge/), it would cost you 80 GEL (lari), which you should exchange at the airport (withdraw money from a cash machine at the airport). Don't let the taxi drivers cheat you. Some will request more than 150 GEL, but some can offer about 40 GEL services till our hostel.
Another way is to take bus #337, which costs 1 GEL per person. But you should buy a travel plastic card at the airport. The bus is round-the-clock: 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. The information on the transport is here.
Georgian Lari is the currency of Georgia. ISO code is GEL. Georgian Lari is subdivided into 100 Tetri.
One metro, bus or mini-bus trip at any distance costs 1 LARI. The payment fee for additional use of the same plastic card within 1.5 hours is 0. After 1.5 hours, you pay 1 LARI again and enjoy 1.5 hours free of charge traveling. There are paperless terminals installed on all buses (see picture) and mini-buses. You should just bring your plastic card to the device and when the display is green that means your plastic card is charged. Official ticket collectors have a special device that can check your plastic card if you use a paperless terminal. One trip in a mini-bus is 1 LARI. Once you pay for any transport means, then you are eligible not to pay for 1.5 hours in any transport - metro, bus, or mini-bus within Tbilisi.
Schoolchildren use the metro and bus for free, but a zero ticket on the bus is still taken and the passage to the metro also requires a bank debit card that is tied to the bank account of one of the parents and you can transfer the amount to it there is a need to pay taxi minibusses that for children are paid as well as for adults.
If a passenger (including school children) doesn't have a ticket when checked by the collector on the bus, the one-time fine is 20 lari and his parents pay it. If the fine is not paid within a month, a new fine of 40 GEL is charged. If it is not paid, then the case goes to the court and then to the bailiffs. Students and pensioners pay 20 tetri on the metro and bus. There is a category (veterans of war, refugees, etc.) of citizens who use zero payment (but still must take a ticket).
The collectors have special technical means for identifying the person and with their help have access to the state register.
It makes sense to buy an abonnement (in any metro station) for 1 week, one month, 3 months or one year, valid for all public transport means. It will be cheaper than Metromoney and Bank card payments.
Don't attempt to travel without a ticket - the authorized inspectors are very strict and they are monitoring all the buses day and night. The fine is 20 lari and if not paid at a bank or payment terminal in the street within a month, the fine increases up to 50 lari. If you don't pay the fine, you might face problems at customs when leaving the country - you will be asked to pay fines right there, which sometimes is not fully convenient for tourists.

We have the BEST PRICES for this kind of hostel in Tbilisi.
We offer a flexible solution for your stay in Tbilisi. My apartment comprises three rooms and the additional facilities described below. A separate flat is also available (to be negotiated). You can book:
- one standard bed in shared room #1 equipped with two beds (USD 9 for each bed per night and 12 USD if you book both). In this case, you may have to share this room with another guest who might have booked another bed in this room. In addition, you should understand that you will have to share the kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, and toilet with the guests who might occupy private room #2 and private room #3. This room and the beds are shown in picture # 1.
- Sheared room #2 has two beds (USD 9 for each bed per night and 12 USD if you book both). This room and the beds are shown in picture #2. If you book this facility (private room #2) you should understand that you will have to share the kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, and toilet with the guests who might have occupied shared rooms and private rooms #1 and 3.
Currently, on January 7, 2025, room #1, room #2, are not available.
Room #3 is available from February 7, 2025.

- Private room #3 is equipped with one double bed (USD 6 for one double bed per night). If you book this facility (private room #3) you should understand that you will have to share the kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, and toilet with the guests who might have occupied shared rooms and private rooms #1 and 2. This room and the beds are shown in picture #3. No windows in private room #3.
- An entire apartment includes shared room #1, private room #2, and private room #3, equipped with four standard beds and a double bed. The sofa in the sitting room is also at your disposal. USD 19 is the price for booking the entire apartment per night. Since no other guests will be accepted in this case, you won't have to share any facilities with others, and you are entitled to use the entire apartment according to your needs. We can also provide a small bed for children around 8 years old, free of charge.

If you stay for more than one month, you are eligible to get a discount (negotiable). If, within this period, you are leaving the hostel for some days, you are not eligible for reimbursement. The days of absence are not counted as days of staying at the hostel for getting discounts. There is one double bed in the room. Linens and towels are provided. The room has no window.
All payments are made beforehand (before the stay). Full payment upon arrival by cash. For a long stay, the fee could be paid in installments. When booking the entire apartment, I request a one-night prepayment, which will not be reimbursed if the booking is canceled later than two days before the arrival date. Prepayment could be arranged via PayPal or other payment systems.
Check-in is from 9:00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Check out before noon.

All messengers require access to the Internet. Be advised that there is free Internet access in all metro stations, bus stops, and almost all Tbilisi streets and many public places like cafés, restaurants, banks, etc. The street Internet channel’s name is TbilisiLovesYou. It’s free. You might know that VIBER, Telegram, and WhatsApp voice calls are also free. My mobile VIBER, Telegram, WhatsApp is always ON.
Free parking in the yard and street. We regularly change bed linen. Ladies and gentlemen are placed separately if desired. We speak Russian and English.
Smoking is not allowed in the hostel premises (permitted on the balcony). Sorry, but dogs are not allowed.
Hostel "SiHostel" is located at the following address 4 David Kipiani Str., building 3, entrance 2, second floor, apt. 2 - Didube district. Entrance from the yard, but I must guide you personally since the steel doors are equipped with code-locks. See the map.

- 300 meters from the metro station "Tsereteli",
- 300 meters from a bus stop (Tsereteli av..) providing 15 bus routes going to all destinations of Tbilisi,
- 100 - 200 meters from several restaurants, cafes, and pubs,
- 300 meters from the main stadium - Dinamo, where you can do exercise, run, jog, and walk on the tartan track in the morning for free.
- 200 meters from one of the central parks of Tbilisi's amusement park Mushtaidi where you can also do exercises.
- 600 meters from one of the major trading centers of Tbilisi - Kidobani.
- 1000 meters from the main railway station of Tbilisi.
- 15 min. slow walk (1000 m) to the Georgian Technical University and the University of Georgia.
- 300 meters from the Central Didube District police station.

Three to five-star hotels in Tbilisi offer rooms and apartments at high prices, which are not always available for guests who are not always willing to pay more than $ 100 per night. However, you always have the opportunity to find accommodation in the hostel at an affordable price - approximately $10 per day. Price in these cases is not particularly different, so the choice is yours. But you should understand a "hostel's" definition and realities: you may have to sleep with some 5-7 people in one common room, sometimes no separate room for ladies and gentlemen.
However, I can tell you that if you choose not to live too far from the center, it will not bring you any inconvenience, because, again, entertainment centers (mainly bars and restaurants) are located at no more than 30-45 minutes walking distance. Tbilisi is perfectly safe, even at night, as Tbilisi is recognized as one of the safest cities in the world. In addition, you can use a taxi service that you can call on the phone \ mobile. The taxi arrives in a few minutes and the starting costs are about 5 U.S. dollars while moving in the city center.
Prices for accommodation in hostels are "real" and affordable for a schoolboy, student, group of people or any people on a tight budget, going on a holiday trip, business trip or for treatment (on this, see separate article).
Do not rely on Tbilisi's different hostel's prices published on the Internet or booking companies' websites. I saw a lot of adds with prices which either are obsolete or deliberately reduced aiming when tourists arrive they are tired of a trip and would not bargain for increased prices.
We offer a separate room(s) for a guest or a couple in the best price in Tbilisi. Nobody will disturb you during staying with us! The prices are a bit higher than for the cheapest hostels crowded with people, but it is worth your attention.
